Man Builds Fancy Apartment Towers For His Cats And The Internet Wants More

A human's love for its pet is immense, with many of us likely to do anything for our cats and dogs. That's the case for Rob Coutu, owner of two cats, who built two deluxe apartment towers that are connected via a suspension bridge, for his feline friends. Photos of the giant playhouse for the cats were revealed and the internet is obsessed.

Wanting to do something nice for his beloved cats, Rob decided to build the giant apartment buildings for his two cats to play in. The attention to detail is incredible, as the towers are several stories high, with every floor featuring a door for the cat to crawl in through, and outside balconies and seating areas.

He created the windows using 3D printing and included flower beds outside. On the ground level entrance, a portico door is set off by tiled flooring and even features a functioning porch light! What a luxurious abode for these two cats—they're basically living in a dream dollhouse.

While Rob Coutu has two cats that he built the deluxe towers for, his Savannah cat named Zach has all but claimed them both for himself, with the other cat relegated to the bottom floor. Rob wrote on his Facebook page, Kitty Towers by RaCoutu: "I started this page to showcase the project I did for the love of my two cats, although my Savannah cat became possessive of both of them and won't let the other one use them, but at least he uses them all day long." Zach even likes to sleep inside.

Despite the level of attention in the two tower blocks, it's probably the suspension bridge that connects them that is the most impressive. Connecting the two top stories of the buildings, the bridge is long and wobbly, and made up of tiny wooden planks.

In photos that show Zach moving across it, it seems as if the feline is cautious—after all, it's a swaying suspension bridge!—but he obviously loves the thrill. And in any case, cats are such skilled jumpers that if Zach were to fall, he'd surely land safely on the couch below.

After making his deluxe cat towers public, Rob has been inundated with requests from many people wishing to have their own cat tower for their beloved pets. He spoke of the demand, saying: "I am considering making them for people as a custom install, once I have sorted out all the legal stuff. That said, the price would vary but the larger tower shown on the left would most like [sic] start around $5,800 est. plus tax and any extra related fees."

It's certainly not cheap, but it's a small price to pay for the incredible happiness it would bring to one's beloved pet cat.
