Make Your Own Mozzarella With Only 3 Ingredients

You fancy a dish with mozzarella today, but you don't have it at hand right now? Then just make it by yourself from a few ingredients. You will probably never buy Mozzarella again after this wonderful tasty experience, but rather always make it yourself.

This recipe can be used for quick use and for storage so that you always have your favorite cheese at hand when you feel like mozzarella in baked form or fresh with some tomatoes.


All you need for this is:

  • 4 cups of milk
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar essence
  • 1 teaspoon salt


The lightning-fast prep work for your homemade mozzarella:

Bring the milk to a boil with a teaspoon of salt added in. Then take the pot off the heat and stir in the vinegar essence. You'll see that the milk begins to clot immediately.

Next, lay out a container with a cloth and pour in the curdled milk. When you have poured everything in, you press the cloth together and form a ball. Be careful while doing this, as the liquid can still be very hot. Make sure you don't burn yourself.

Now let the compressed ball of mozzarella cool down.

Keep the finished mozzarella within the liquid, which is the whey, in a closed container in the refrigerator.

Like I said, you'll have a delicious mozzarella in 30 minutes. The preparation should take about 15 minutes and then again 15 minutes for the pressing.
