Madonna Louise Ciccone was born on Aug. 16, 1958 and is an American actress, singer and songwriter. She is considered among the most influential figures in pop culture. Many people refer to her as the "Queen of Pop." Madonna is also known for her continual versatility, reinvention of songwriting, visual representation and music production. Her career, which incorporates political, social and religious themes, has led to both condemnation and widespread acclaim.

So, who is Madonna dating? Here is a story about Madonna's fascinating life and how a music tour changed Madonna's relationship status.

Madonna’s Childhood

Madonna grew up in a family of six. She was the third born child. Her mother, Madonna Fortin, worked as an X-ray technician and was formerly a dancer. Her father was an engineer. She was raised on the outskirts of Detroit, in a place known as Pontiac, Mi. Being a middle child brought out a competitive nature in Madonna, which made her always strive to be unique. It helped her later in life as she worked hard to relieve past tension and stand out among other artists. In an interview on the topic of leaving her hometown, Madonna explained, "Coming from a big family had something to do with it.

"The sort of competitiveness you have and past tensions, you don't want hand down clothes, you want to stand out and be treated special." Her mother was diagnosed with cancer when Madonna was only 5 years old. At the time, her mother was pregnant with Madonna's youngest sister. Treatment had to be delayed until she gave birth. By the time she gave birth, cancer had already spread, and it was too late. She died at the age of 30, which caused great pain and devastation to her family and children. Of her mother, Madonna has said, "She was beautiful and very loving to her children, very children-oriented."

Her Move To New York

Madonna turned her grief into fire for her life even though she was only six. She seems to have decided to be strong, take care of herself and allow herself to be vulnerable while overcoming her weaknesses. Madonna was an A student. She performed well in most of her subjects. She was also well known for being a dancer and a great cheerleader. Madonna took dancing lessons even though all of her siblings preferred singing.

The University of Michigan noticed Madonna's great dancing talents and offered her a full scholarship on their dancing team. She was awarded another scholarship to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City during her undergraduate degree. After some time, it was clear that she wouldn't return to Michigan since she was chasing her career in New York City. She performed with choreographer Pearl Lang in 1978. Lang loved Madonna's skills and encouraged her to move to New York.

Madonna took Lang's advice and moved to New York to chase her dancing career. It forced her to drop out of college after only two years. New York City is often seen as a place of many opportunities. Dreams have been fulfilled, and many have faded away in equal measure. Madonna had a taste of both sides of New York. She had to pay rent and cater to other needs.

This could only happen if she had extra sources of income, so she had to take other jobs. Dancing and performing at the American Dance Center did not give her enough money to sustain herself. She worked at the Russian Tea Room, an iconic restaurant. When asked about her initial reaction to New York, Madonna answered, "I felt like I plugged my finger into an electric socket."

We now know Madonna as a legendary dancer, but she eventually discovered she was a musician. She dated Dan Gilroy in the late 1970s, and he introduced her to the music world on a more serious level. After a short encounter as a showgirl in France, Gilroy made Madonna the drummer in his band in New York. Later she was promoted to lead singer. She featured in several other bands, including The Millionaires and Madonna & The Sky. After a while, she decided to go solo.

She turned her attention toward pop music after years of self-examination. In 2015, during an interview, Madonna said that she started meeting artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol and Keith Haring when she decided to switch to being a musician and songwriter. At the time, New York was a multicultural melange. It created an influence on many different things. Madonna was inspired.

She constantly listened to merengue and salsa, inspiring an electric New York City nightlife feel in quite a few of her songs. Hanging out with many celebrities was part of being an artist at the time. New York seemed like a safe and friendly place — but for an out-of-towner like Madonna, it could be scary, too.

In another interview, Madonna said, "I had never seen homeless people before. It was crazy and New York was crazy then." She went on to say, "It was so different than it is now. I was a dancer for a while. I was broke." Madonna hired a new manager in 1981. She was ready to drop her debut album as a singer just two years later. She named the album "Madonna" and released it in 1983. The album included the hit song "Everybody."

The album was a success. Slowly but surely, Madonna started gaining popularity for her sense of fashion and beautiful voice. In 1983, she was given an invitation to be on Dick Clark's American Bandstand. Her appearance was one of those classic Madonna moments. Her answer when asked about her ambitions regarding music while on the show was "to rule the world."

She further told The Guardian of the classic quote, "I may have been insecure, I may have felt like a nobody, but I knew I had to do something. If I was going to make something out of my life, I had to, you know, hurl myself into the dark space, go down the road less traveled. Otherwise, why live?" While Madonna's meteoric rise may have been startling, she wasted no time and dropped her second album, "Like A Virgin," 18 months after releasing her debut album.

She was ruling the world. Madonna sold around 3.5 million copies in 14 weeks in the U.S. alone, thanks to songs like "Like A Virgin," "Material Girl" and the bouncy dance song "Angel." "Like A Virgin" became a hit song and sold platinum within four weeks. It even made it to number one on the Billboard Charts.

World’s Biggest Pop Star

As time went on, she starred in several films and released four more top albums. Becoming a huge star required hard work and determination, and Madonna put everything into making music.

Madonna went on The Virgin Tour. She told The Guardian that the tour "took my breath away." She continued, "I remember the first concert I did on the Virgin tour, in Seattle when everything became big and I had no way of being prepared for it. It literally sucked the life out of me, sucked the air out of my lungs when I walked on stage. I sort of had an out-of-body experience. Not a bad feeling, not an out-of-control feeling, but an otherworldly feeling that nothing could prepare you for. I mean, eventually, you get used to it."

When asked how she had managed to reach her level of success, Madonna responded, "I think a lot of it had to do about imagination and the great desire and need to get out of that small town and go somewhere and be somebody. Because you feel like 'I'm missing something.'"

She married Sean Penn in 1985, only for them to split four years later. In 2002, she married Guy Ritchie, a British director. They had a son called Rocco John Ritchie. She had already had a daughter, Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, with previous personal trainer Carlos Leon. Ritchie and Madonna split in 2008. Madonna then went on to adopt another son from Malawi named David Banda.

Today Madonna remains one of the most famous pop artists. She has released 14 studio albums, a huge amount of amazing music videos, five live albums and stage clothes — not to mention all the great tours she's gone on. She has made hit songs such as "Take a Bow," "Music," "Vogue" and "Frozen." Despite making music and giving her fans the best she can, people can't stop talking about her love life of late.

Madonna made her relationship status official on New Year's Eve 2020. She said that she was in a relationship with Ahlamalik Williams. The 27-year-old dancer is only two years older than Madonna's oldest child, though maybe age is just a number. Madonna and Williams have known each other for half a decade. Williams has two siblings and was born and raised in Sacramento.

Williams went to Monterrey Trail High School near Sacramento. He was obsessed with dancing from a young age. In 2014, Williams told an interviewer, "The first dancer to inspire me was my father. Growing up, I was introduced to plenty of dancers who have influenced me such as Poppin John, Alonzo "Turf" Jones, Michael Jackson, Usher and Les Twins."

He later moved to Las Vegas to work as a street performer and eventually became a performer in Cirque de Soleil's Michael Jackson: One Show. Of the show Williams explained, "This show requires a high amount of energy from beginning to end. Everyday, about 30 minutes before the show, we are required to warm up. To stay in shape, I keep my earphones in all day and practice when I can, especially after shows each day. Dancing is 24/7 for me."

How They Met

Madonna and Williams have been dating since summer 2019. They first met during the Rebel Heart Tour in 2015, and he has been a part of her life ever since. According to IMDB, in 2016, he starred in two of her music videos and appeared in a documentary about the Rebel Heart Tour. Once announced, their relationship was not taken well by everyone.

Wendy Williams called Madonna out in December 2019, saying that it is okay to "age gracefully." She continued, "He is three years older than her daughter, Lourdes. They're all on the same vacation, and there's old grandma booed up with a 25-year-old. You know what, she's become that old lady that I feel bad for. Because, I don't think she understands that it's ok to grow older gracefully. Like, we do stuff, we go through stuff. If a 26-year-old girl is lucky, she'll live to be 61 like you, Madonna. It's ok!"

Madonna spoke to Billboard in 2012 about dating a younger man. At the time, she was romantically involved with Brahim Zaibat, a 24-year-old dancer. She said, "I didn't write down on a piece of paper, I'm now going to have a relationship with a younger man. You see, that's the romantic in me. I just met someone that I cared for. This happens to be his age, I don't want to live life on my own. I love being a mother, but I need a partner in life."

Ahlamalik Williams’s Career

Williams shares videos of his advanced and complex dance styles, which have drawn a lot of positive comments. Madonna and Williams frequently post each other on their Instagram pages. Ahlamalik has a huge following of over 80,000 people. It is not just because he's dating Madonna but because of his talent as well.

Since he is in a serious relationship with Madonna, he introduced her to his parents. Following the first meeting, Madonna invited Williams' family to Madonna's Caesar's Palace shows and had her chef cook them dinner. Williams' father has spoken out in favor of the relationship, saying that love has no age, and you should do what makes you happy.
