Luke Combs Is The First Artist To Have First Five Singles Hit No. 1 On Country Airplay Chart

The history books of country powerhouse were rewritten when Luke Combs was named as the first ever artist to make it to the top spot with five hit singles on the country airplay chart.

It all began with his first released single that didn’t take long to become an instant hit.

The song made its way to the top of the chart and claimed the same position for weeks before he made an effort to permanently dominate the country airplay charts.

Filled with joy and high spirits, Luke Combs took to Instagram where he showed his appreciation to the fans for showing support and having faith in him. He mentioned how his primary motivation came from his supporters that pushed him to work harder and achieve what seemed to be the impossible.

Further appreciation went to his management team, his musical family known as Sony Music Nashville, and his lovely fiancé.

Combs made his first breakthrough in country music with his 2015 debut single named “Hurricane” which sold up to 15,000 copies within the first week. After penning down a contract with Sony Music Nashville, Comb’s “Hurricane” was able to top the charts in May of 2017 where it held the spot for two weeks.

According to Billboard, In just a week after being released, “This One’s For You” topped the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. His second single “When It Rains It Pours” climbed to the top of the chart in 2017 and his third “One Number Away,” followed suit the following year.

After the incredible reception received from his first 3 songs, Combs later released 2 bonus tracks titled “She Got The Best Of Me” and “Beautiful Crazy” respectively. Both still made it to the top where the fourth had already gone viral prior to its official release.
