Although Luke Bryan has become a superstar in the country music world, he still takes time to make sure that his fans know he appreciates them.

The singer clearly likes making personal connections with his fans, because, before each and every one of his shows, he has a meet and greets with his most dedicated fans.

He takes a bit of time with each fan to get to know them, take some photographs with them, and give them each a hug before sending them on their way to their seats for his show!

But one meet and greet stands out from the rest.

In 2016,  Bryan got to meet some of his biggest fans, kids who had used their wishes through the ‘Make-A-Wish” foundation to get the chance to meet him in person and spend some time with him.

One of the kids was named Ethan Payne, and he was thirteen at the time when he decided that meeting Luke Bryan would be the thing he wished for the most.  Payne had been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when he was only a year and a half old. This is a condition that can be life-threatening, and it has detrimental impacts on our lungs and our breathing ability.

Although there is no cure at this time for eradicating the disease, Payne credits music as his coping mechanism. He was excited and speechless when the foundation announced that he would be able to meet his favorite country singer, Luke Bryan, before one of the shows.

When the day finally came for Bryan and Payne to meet, Payne decided he needed to impress the singer with a little music of his own. He brought a guitar and decided to belt out one of Bryan’s own songs, called ‘I Do,’ in front of the singer.

This moment was the opportunity of a lifetime, as Bryan then invited Payne up on stage to perform in front of 50,000 people before handing over one of his personal guitars for Payne to take home! Not many stars would treat their fans as well as this, and it’s clear that Bryan is not only talented but generous and kindhearted as well!

Two years later, the two boys reunited when Payne decided to try out for the reboot of ‘American Idol,’ where Bryan is a judge. The two reconnected immediately, and the scene got even more heartfelt and touching when the two decided to perform a duet of the same song they performed together years prior.
