When thinking about celebrities, we often desire to see behind their glamour and false fronts. We hear horror stories of some celebrities poorly interacting with their fans and think to ourselves, "There's more to being a celebrity than just being rude to your fans, right?"

He shared in an interview with Sunday Today With Willie Geist that at the young age of 19, Bryan's older brother had a car accident and was unfortunately killed. This occurred just before Bryan was meant to head to Nashville in his chase to follow his dreams. In 2007, his older sister met her demise in an unknown cause of death. Luke's niece, Sadie Brett Boyer followed in 2017, when she died due to a heart defect.

Bryan's young adult life was full of tragedies, each occurring a few years from the other. Regardless, Bryan learned to move on and made the best of his life. He has become a very generous celebrity and has since been involved in plenty of charity work. Aside from his generous outlook, he also has a soft spot for animals.

After the death of his niece, Bryan honored her by establishing a charity called Brett's Barn. This animal rescue has helped countless animals, including kangaroos, llamas, and more. While Bryan has been very charitable in the past, his generosity is best exemplified by this story:

An elderly dog named Poochie was recently admitted to an animal shelter in Nashville. He was abandoned because of his hair had caused allergies for a family member. Poochie was an astonishing 18 years old when he arrived at the shelter.

It seemed as though Poochie would have to spend the final days of his life alone without any sort of comfort, but Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue tried to do their best to help this poor pup. Of course, the care of the animal shelter was vastly different from the comfort of human companionship. It is quite unusual for a family to adopt an elderly dog, especially one who is on the brink of death.

According to USA Today, once Bryan saw an Instagram post from the shelter about their latest addition, the sight of the elderly dog warmed his heart. Shortly after, he arrived at the shelter and adopted Poochie. Bryan and his wife, Caroline were pleased to have a new addition to their family and were determined to make Poochie's last few days the best they could.

Upon arriving at their home, Poochie was suddenly filled with the energy of a younger dog and ran around, playing with the other animals at Brett's Barn, an animal rescue facility started by Bryan and Caroline in memory of their niece. He had made plenty of playmates at the farm and had some of the best experiences of his life until two weeks after the adoption when he passed away. Poochie's death was painless and full of peace. He was buried on the farm in memory of the loving dog he once was.

After Poochie's demise, Caroline updated everyone on her Instagram with the news of Poochie's death. She also thanked the shelter for allowing the family to adopt the pup. Poochie, an elderly dog was admitted to an animal shelter after his previous owners could not keep him anymore. Bryan adopted him right after seeing the ad for adoption. Poochie perished two weeks after the adoption but had the best time of his life living with Bryan.
