Danielle’s raspy and powerful voice is in a league of its own. Reminiscent of young Miranda Lambert, her megawatt stage presence made it feel like she was already performing at the CMA Awards!

Her bedazzled dress uplifted her overall performance, which the background complimented with the stained church windows effect. Danielle’s angelic country voice got Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan standing on their feet, high-fiving Katy Perry as they celebrated her performance.

As detailed by Today, Bryan was “teary-eyed” after the performance.:

"I'm a mess. I'm so emotional about what you just did because what you just did will stand up in any room around the world. At the Grammys, any award show that I've ever been to, that performance will stand up anywhere.”

Bryan also continued praising her for the performance, even recalling what guest mentor Lambert told her:

"What Adam Lambert told you was so right. You are the reason 'American Idol' works. That was absolutely incredible."

Perry, who was quite reluctant about Danielle’s a week before, finally came to her senses:

"Remember when I was walking away last week and I said, 'Do you finally believe? And you said, 'Yes I do. Yes ma'am,' I think you said. And actually, I finally believe in you 100%.”

Richie echoed Perry and Bryan’s comments; at a loss for words, he said:

"I don't have to say any more than what Luke said. It's ditto. It was just a stellar performance. Stellar. Killer."

In another outtake, Bryan pointed out, "It's people like Megan that make 'American Idol' so exciting to watch." He noted that she did not realize how talented she was and added that she had a “real potential” to become a big star as long as she would believe in herself.
