Loyal Dog Helps Elderly Owner By Pushing His Wheelchair Down The Road

Dogs are known for their loyalty, which is why we love them as much as they love us. They are also amazingly smart. They can be trained to sniff bombs, aid the blind, sense seizures, and protect their owners with no fear for their own safety, as well as so much more.

And during all this, they prove their love with every paw step. Magnus, a dog from Kazakhstan, is an example of this as he shows how much he loves his 70-year-old owner by pushing his wheelchair down the road.

They are also great company, especially for the elderly and alone. They offer sweet companionship and increase social interactions. Currently, the internet is celebrating one special pooch, Magnus. Magnus lives with his owner Anatoly Derbenev in the busy city of Taraz in Kazakhstan.

Anatoly is 70 years old and uses a hand-operated wheelchair to navigate the sprawling streets. His only family is Magnus, a young puppy just under a year old who came to Anatoly at four months, reports the Daily Mail. Their bond is as strong as any human family bond. Despite being run over by a car, Magnus continues to walk the streets with his owner.

But he doesn’t just keep Anatoly company. Magnus has used his doggie intelligence to learn how to push his owner’s wheelchair. By getting behind the chair and dipping his head under the seat, he gently propels the wheelchair with his back. Anatoly steers with the hand controls.

No matter how busy the traffic or how many streets they need to cross, Magnus sticks by Anatoly. Despite the fear the traffic must rekindle in his mind, he sets it aside to help Anatoly navigate the terrain.

Though people touched by the video have offered Anatoly help, the elderly gentleman prefers to make his own way. Keeping his self-sufficiency is extremely important to him, as it is to many older people. Between his special chair with its hand levers and his wonderful dog, Anatoly is able to live independently. He refuses handouts from the most well-meaning people.

The video clip has created a sensation online. Dog lovers have rushed to praise both owner and pooch, instantly relating to the bond between the man and his dog. A few people have claimed it looks like Magnus is trying to hustle Anatoly along, but one thing is sure: Anatoly and Magnus show the powerful connection between man and his best friend. Pass this cute video on to your animal-loving friends and loved ones.
