Loud Fart Reveals Suspect's Hideout And Police Arrest Him

Dense criminal stories stem from all over the world on a regular basis, but in the case of a Missouri offender, it was not his intentional actions that made the news. The way he was caught is making headlines, and his unusual story has gone viral.

The suspect was wanted for possession of a controlled substance, and when officers were looking for him, his nervous belly proved to be his biggest opponent. Seems as though a wild bout of gas caused flatulence so robust, the sound gave his hiding place away.

Public curiosity grew when the Clay County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook, “If you've got a felony warrant for your arrest, the cops are looking for you and you pass gas so loud it gives up your hiding spot, you're definitely having a 💩 day #ItHappened.”
Of course, the post incited public curiosity, and questions were posed. When a local news station requested additional information regarding the case, the sheriff’s office stated on Facebook, “The person was arrested over the weekend on a Clay County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. We’ve gotta give props to Liberty PD for using their senses to sniff him out!”
The Liberty Police Department then got in on the joking by posting on Twitter about their involvement in the case. They posted, “Thanks to @SheriffClayCo for airing out a wanted person's dirty laundry and fanning the flames. The Liberty Police Department was surprised to see this incident slip out, which stinks for the arrestee. Fortunately, no one was injured during his arrest.”
