"Full House" actress Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli are awaiting their time in court as other wealthy, influential names are being sentenced to prison amid the college admissions scandal. Most recently, Toby MacFarlane, a wealthy insurance executive, was sentenced to 6 months in prison for his part in the scandal.

According to the US Attorney's Office of Massachusetts in addition to his prison sentence, MacFarlane must also pay $150,000 fine and complete 200 hours of community service. Prosecutors had originally asked for 15 months in prison and a year of supervised release.

MacFarlane was found guilty of giving William "Rick" Singer, the mastermind behind the college admissions scandal, $450,000 to get his daughter and son into the University of Southern California. They were both posed as star athletes when neither of them had played sports then or now.

Similarly, prosecutors claim Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli paid half a million dollars to a fake charity to have their two daughters accepted into the University of Southern California. The daughters were positioned to look like crew recruits even though both of them have never rowed.

A source close to the Loughlin and Giannulli told People that the couple are "very concerned" by MacFarlane's sentencing.  “She knows that she should focus on all the good things in her life, but it’s almost impossible for her to do it,” the source said.

However, although MacFarlane and the couple's cases look similar there is one detail that will make a big difference. MacFarlane plead guilty to the charges whereas Loughlin and her husband are choosing to fight them. Meaning if they are found guilty they could receive a much harsher sentence behind bards.

An inside source told People, that the couple is smart enough to see that MacFarlane's sentencing is just a small fragment of what their sentencing could potentially look like for them.

"So they’re very concerned. If this guy pleaded guilty and was still given six months, what does that mean for them? If they’re convicted, their sentences are going to be very severe. Also, they face more charges than Mr. McFarlane did. They’re very discouraged.”
