Lori Loughlin Faces 20 Years in a Federal Prison For College Admissions Bribery

It looks like things are getting a little too real for Lori Loughlin. According to Us Magazine, Loughlin might face up to 20 years in prison for her alleged involvement in a college admissions bribery.
It’s just so surreal to think that the woman we all grew up to call Aunt Becky could be going to prison for such a long time.
Loughlin isn’t alone however. She and fellow actress Felicity Huffman were two of 50 defendants who were charged in a huge bribery scam back in March.
According to CNN, the defendants allegedly shelled out about $25 million in an attempt to get their children admitted to prestigious colleges across the U.S.A.

The maximum sentence means they might be facing a $250,000 fine, three years probation and a prison sentence which could last up to two decades.
Now that sounds harsh.
According to reports, Lori Laughlin and her husband designer Mossimo Giannuli paid out $500,000 to make sure their daughters (Olivia Jade, 19 and Isabella, 20) appeared to be recruits for the USC team - thus easing ther acceptance to the prestigious college.
Although the couple was part of some particularly shady business, much of the public is still baffled they might be spending so much time in jail.
Although many social media users just like this one believe the defendants should be punished for the scam, two decades seems like a long time considering the alleged crime -- especially when compared to others who have committed much worse crimes like murder or rape
Yeah, we don’t know what to think.
According to Vulture, both the Hallmark Channel and Netflix show Fuller House have severed ties with Laughlin following the accusations.
