Loughlin and her husband, acclaimed fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The two came under fire in early April 2019 after Loughlin, along with actress Felicity Huffman and dozens of other wealthy parents, were revealed to be a part of a major college admissions scam.

Loughlin and Giannulli reportedly paid $500,000 to a fake charity so their daughters, Bella, 20, and Olivia Jade, 19, could attend the University of Southern California.

Bella, an actress, appeared alongside her mother in multiple Hallmark films.

Olivia Jade, on the other hand, runs a successful YouTube channel with 1.9 million followers.

Officials claim that most students were unaware of the scam their parents participated in, but both Olivia Jade and Bella posed on a rowing machine as part of their admissions.

The girls were admitted to UCSC as falsely designated recruits for the crew team.

The University of Southern California recently announced that it will be updated its admissions policy for 2019-20 prospective student-athletes.

As for Loughlin and Giannulli, the two face up to 20 years in prison. Recently, UCSC's former soccer coach, Laura Jank, 36, agreed to plead guilty for creating fake athletic profiles for potential students, including Olivia Jade.
