A report circulating that country music superstar Loretta Lynn is holed up in a nursing home after a stroke has been nullified by the woman herself.

Press outlets such as Canoe.com recently reported, “At 87, the music legend’s health problems have become so dire that her family is ready to relocate her to a 24/7 care facility, according to insiders.” It also called incorrectly called her a “fading country star.”

But this negative news seems to be disproven. Two days ago, the Coal Miner’s Daughter took to social media to squash any hearsay about her move to a care facility.

Lynn has always been known as a feisty firecracker and it shows in her Instagram. She had no tolerance for what she called “fake news” and “trash talking tabloids” in her caption, which read:

“Well, through the years they've said I'm broke, homeless, cheating, drinking, gone crazy, terminally ill, and even dead! Poor things can't ever get it right. I guess if those old pesky tabloids are harassing me then they're giving someone else a break......but I'm about an inch from taking 'em to Fist City!”

Loretta can be seen in the video reading a tablet and saying, “Hey, this says I’m in a nursing home and I’m on my deathbed...you’re kiddin’ me!” In response, she had a message to the haters on her and a fellow country star’s behalf: “I ain't dead and neither is Willie [Nelson] and both of us are coming back to life and we're gonna raise hell.”

Tabloids take note: when the grandmother of country music threatens to take you to Fist City “you better close your face and stay outta [her] way” just like she said in her 1968 hit “Fist City.”
