Little Orphaned Grizzly Bear Cub Loves Having Her Feet Tickled By The Man Who Rescued Her

It's not unfair to say that grizzly bears often inspire some awe and fear in a lot of people. They are large, powerful, and majestic creatures that invite curiosity, but many people don't know a lot about them. Because of their massive size, they have often been depicted as monsters that could be very dangerous to human beings.

One man named Casey Anderson is hoping to change that narrative and has taken big steps to do that by appearing in a video with a grizzly bear cub he rescued named Bella. Bella steals the hearts of the audience with her adorable reaction to having her feet tickled.

Rescued from the Wild

Bella was found alone in the wilds of Alaska. What happened to her mother is unknown, but it was clear that she needed to be rescued. A young cub without her mother to protect her would be defenseless and prey to larger animals if left out there.

Anderson, the founder of a bear sanctuary called Montana Grizzly Encounter, took Bella in and began to care for her. In addition to running the sanctuary, Anderson also is a television host for National Geographic and has done some filmmaking. Once Bella was safe in the sanctuary, Anderson worked on building a bond with the bear cub.

Bella Gets Her Feet Tickle

It is clear that the bonding process has gone well when you see the video of Anderson tickling Bella's feet. The cub lies on her back and attempts to playfully put her mouth on her caretaker's hands as he moves from one foot to the other. Anderson's voice sounds as if he's talking to a small child and it is clear that this is a game that both parties get a kick out of playing. This video also goes onto show Anderson talking about some techniques he is using to get Bella to respect him.

A Mission Bigger Than Tickling Fee

While the images of Bella having her feet tickled certainly warm the heart, Anderson's mission goes a lot deeper than that. Over the years, he has taken many grizzly bears into the Montana Grizzly Encounter sanctuary and provided them with a safe place to live. This collection includes a bear named Brutus that he took in as a cub, like Bella, and has provided care to for over ten years.

Anderson hopes that the sanctuary can provide education to people about these animals and help reduce some of the fear surrounding them. His hope is that through education and exposure to grizzly bears that people will be able to transform their attitudes toward these creatures into ones that highlight respect and awe. It is clear when you watch Bella getting her feet tickled that these animals are not monsters. It's also heartwarming to see the bond that has grown between Anderson and the cub he rescued.
