Life is often made special by the little moments. These are the moments we spend with our loved ones that are carried with us as we grow old. These moments should be greatly valued. When a grandfather and his granddaughter went viral on Facebook and social media, it showed people how much these little moments really mean.

A Marine, Dean Evans, has seen good and bad things throughout his life. What he loves seeing is the beauty and joy of his daughter playing and smiling. Dean is obviously a very doting father. No one was surprised to see his little girl twirling around the room in a gown.

Paisley, Dean’s three-year-old daughter, was wearing a lit up light pink gown. It fit her personality perfectly with her sweet and sweet aura. She was dancing in front of the TV while it played John Legend and Ariana Grande singing “Tale as Old as Time” which was on the live-action version of “Beauty and the Beast”.

Paisley, Dean’s daughter, didn’t want to just twirl around to the music. She wanted herself to seem like a real-life Disney princess. She needed to get a dance partner. However, it wasn’t her father’s hands she grabbed. Paisley went right to her grandfather. That was who she wanted to dance with.

Unfortunately, Paisley’s grandfather has dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, and Alzheimer’s Disease. He can’t dance like he used to and has a hard time moving. Dean knew that his father really loved Paisley. He went over and helped his dad stand up. He helped him move and dance with Paisley.

They looked like they were having so much fun that Dean’s son wanted to dance too. When the video was uploaded to Facebook, it was viewed over 388,000 times.

Alzheimer’s Disease affects many different people in the United States. But those affected don’t have to stop having fun. They can continue to enjoy their lives and take it day by day. This story is an excellent way to remember we need to value each of the little moments we share with those we love.
