Little Girl Sits At Public Piano Only Moments Later She Becomes Internet Sensation With Song Choice

When many young children come across a piano, they have an overwhelming urge to begin tapping or even banging at the keys. The result is not exactly what most people would call music. When young Diane began playing the piano spontaneously in a hospital one day, people could not help but notice and be impressed by what they heard.

Many expecting mothers play music for their baby to listen to in the womb and even throughout their infancy. Studies have indicated that this promotes mental development and creativity. Throughout life, music may improve a sour mood, boost productivity and even reduce stress levels. It is clear that music can reach listeners on an emotional level and is more than just a form of entertainment.

Diane’s piano skills were so impressive that some people could have mistaken them for pre-recorded tunes coming from an overhead sound system. However, those who realized that there actually was a talented young girl playing the piano with seemingly little effort had to stop and admire her abilities. Thankfully, some people turned on their phones to record the little girl in action.

Diane breezed through three rather complex songs without making a single mistake. She played “Halo” followed by “Rolling in the Deep” and the theme song to Pirates of the Caribbean. As she played, her petite fingers flew skillfully and gracefully across the keyboard. She did not look up to see her audience throughout the three songs, so she understandably did not feel performance anxiety. Instead, she played in a relaxed manner, and her body moved freely as her hands went up and down the keyboard.

While a hospital seemingly may not be the best environment for a piano concert at first glance, her performance seemed to lift the mood of all who stopped to listen. Hospitals can be tense, stressful environments, so perhaps Diane’s performance gave them all a much-needed mental break.
