Formed in 1970, Queen is one of the world's best-known rock bands of all time. With their record-smashing hits that continue to recruit fans even today, Queen has a unique style that resonates with people from all walks of life. Today, Queen fans range from young teens to senior citizens, all of them bound by the genius musical abilities that this band was able to put forth.

Queen gave the world a myriad of hits that continue to be relevant and loved even today. Some songs, like "Bohemian Rhapsody," are timeless classics that people from all generations have listened to at least once in their lives. Other songs may be more unknown, but it doesn't stop the band from being one of the most well-known and well-liked groups of all time.

Legendary British rock band Queen’s song "We Will Rock You" is one of those classics you can’t help but sing along to. With its catchy beat and rhythmic singing, there is something special about this song that can get virtually anyone tapping along and singing to it. So, when a little Bulgarian girl named Polly Ivanova performed the song at a crowded event in 2017, all the attendees went wild for her performance.

The song was certainly something that has this effect on any crowd, but it was also Polly's incredible singing that actually got the crowd up and moving. At the time of the performance, Polly was very young, and for a young girl to move crowds like this, it shows that Polly is a star in her own right!

According to The Music Man UK, Polly's fame began when she appeared on "Bulgaria’s Got Talent" in 2015. Her performance left the audience and judges astounded by her talent and led to Polly becoming a popular figure as she began to release more of her singing and performances on her Youtube channel.

Polly completely owned the song at the event in 2017 and made for an exciting show for the audience. Using a voice so powerful that it surprised everyone, she sang out the lyrics with confidence that would have made Queen front-runner Freddie Mercury proud. In the video, Polly belts out the song, unafraid of the crowd surrounding her at the football field. When the guitar solo kicked in, we can imagine it felt like a Queen performance. Polly made the event an incredible success thanks to her unwavering, confident voice, and naturally, the video has become viral with over 19 million views.

The song was designed for large crowds to participate using claps and stomps, and this creativity is what made the track a hit, and popular at sports events.

Ironically, when the band wrote "We Will Rock You", they didn’t intend for it to fill football stadiums. Regarding the unique layout of the song, drummer Roger Taylor told Billboard: “It only has one instrument apart from the voice: There’s no bass, no real drums—just feet and handclaps and only that guitar at the very end. It’s quite an odd song. It was designed as a sort of song for the audience, a joining-in song. But we never really envisioned that it would be taken up by sports.”

It just so happened that the song was perfect for riling up a crowd at a big game—or cranking it up in your car—or singing out loud with no background music. Many people believe that "We Will Rock You" can be considered one of the best songs that were ever written.

While we no longer have all the members of the record-breaking rock band to fill our stadiums, but we are lucky enough to have people ready to cover their music. Because of brave singers like Polly, these songs will never lose popularity.

Today, only two members from the original band are left and continue to make waves in the music industry. Since lead singer and pianist Freddie Mercury's death in 1991, and the retirement of bassist John Deacon in 1997, May and Taylor have renamed the band and continued to tour under the band name Queen+ with other musical artists. Today, the permanent members are Adam Lambert and Paul Rogers.

In 2011, the remaining members of Queen began the search for members for their tribute band, Queen Extravaganza. Auditions were held to create the tribute band, and they would be judged by the original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor. Taylor says on the official Queen Extravaganza site, "It’s our own official tribute band." Queen Extravaganza toured North American and Canada twice during 2012 going on to 2013 and was very popular. This just goes to show that Queen is a timeless band, and they have been making an incredible impact on the music industry for the last five decades.
