Little Boy Uses Life Savings To Buy Gas Station Attendant A Bike So He Can Get To Work

Mandy Moo Fish had raised her son, Vaughn, to be a giving child. She encouraged generosity and kindness in the ten year old, but even Fish would be surprised at how giving her child could be as she shared in a story posted to Facebook.

Fish recounts that one day around November, Vaughn was traveling with his mother as they pulled into a gas station in the suburb of Gillits located in South Africa.

The blonde haired boy had been feeling under the weather and Fish was surprised to note the gas station attendant, known as Tony, was able to make her son laugh and smile even while feeling dreadfully ill. It seemed almost immediately, a friendship was born and mother and son would return to the same gas station over and over to visit Tony.

As their relationship blossomed, Tony learned that Fish and her son traveled to Giba and back to transport bicycles. Vaughn loved discussing bikes with his new friend and Tony was always a good listener as the young child chattered on.

Eventually, Tony would ask his new friend to keep an eye out for a reasonably priced bicycle as he, himself, could use a great bike. Vaughn eagerly agreed.

Yet the youngster had something else in mind completely! According to his mother, Vaughn had been diligently saving silvers in order to help pay for a family vacation. Instead of using the money on himself, however, the boy thought he could help a friend in need.

'Vaughn has been collecting all the silver money around the house for months, saving for a "holiday" for us. One night he came to me and asked if I really wanted a holiday and upon asking why he said he would rather put his savings towards helping Tony get his bike.'

Of course, Fish knew she had to support her child in his ambitions! She had spent ten years encouraging the very traits Vaughn was exhibiting and she couldn’t stop now. Therefore the mother and son duo drove to Game Stores and picked out a bike for Vaughn’s friend.

The smile on Tony’s face in the pictures posted online by Fish says it all—the gift was greatly appreciated.

The story doesn’t end here! Game Stores, the establishment that sold the bike to Fish and her son, heard about Vaughn’s generosity and gifted Tony with a store voucher valued at the same price of his new bike and they offered Vaughn a bicycle as well!
