Little Boy Can’t Help But Walk Towards Violinist And Give Her Kiss During Her Street Performance

Karolina Protsenko is a 12-year-old violinist and street performer who is originally from Kiev, Ukraine. She has lived in the US since she was 6 and currently resides in Santa Monica, California. A video of Protsenko performing in May 2021 has gone viral as it shows the moment a little boy walked up to the performer and gave her a sweet kiss.
The video starts out with Protsenko and the little boy dancing around each other while she performs “Warrior” by Demi Lovato. At one point the little boy loses his balance and falls over onto the sidewalk. This is when Protsenko gets down on one knee and plays her violin right in front of him. He sweetly walks over to her and places his hand on her shoulder before landing an adorable little kiss on her lips.
Protsenko is a riveting performer. You can’t help but notice the confidence as she tucks the violin under her chin and draws her bow across the strings. Her style draws upon not only classical violin but also contemporary music. This results in a very refreshing sound that pulls you in and has you tapping your foot along to the music.
Protsenko is more than just a violinist and a street performer, she is a social media star. Her Youtube channel alone has over 5 million subscribers. That makes her one of the biggest musical acts on the site. Her channel consists of many performances and covers of classic songs such as "Carol of the Bells," "Shape of My Heart" and "Imagine."
Altogether Karolina Protsenko has hundreds of performances on her YouTube channel. Looking through her video listing, many of her performances have at least several hundred thousand views. Some of the most popular cover songs have multiple millions of views.
When she started playing the violin at the age of six, her parents must have known there was something special about her. In 2017, she started performing on the streets, where she gathered large crowds who were delighted by her unusual talent.
The young artist released an album in July 2018. Protsenko has also professionally recorded covers of hits such as the classic, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” as well as “Let It Go” from Disney’s “Frozen” and “Fix You” by ColdPlay. Her music can be found on many major music sites, including Spotify, Amazon Prime Music, and Apple Music.
Protsenko is so talented that she's already amassed a fanbase of millions of followers. She's appeared on multiple TV shows and talent shows, including “America's Got Talent” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” This whirlwind performer is so talented, it's hard to believe that she only started six years ago, according to an interview on Ellen.
With over 43 million views on YouTube, it would seem this young girl is on her way to stardom. It’s hard to imagine where her skills will direct her in the next year, three years, or even five years. If the video of her and the little boy is any indication, Protsenko will keep growing her fan base and gain even more popularity. No doubt, if she sticks to her practice, she can expect great opportunities in her future.
