Little 5-Year-Old Doesn't Want To Win $1M Prize, Sings Song Proving Why

Becoming a great singer takes a combination of talent and training, but you don't usually think of them as coming in packages quite this small. Little 5-year-old Sophie Fatu has the voice of someone four times her age, and she wowed the judges onstage at "America's Got Talent."

The panel of judges chatted with Sophie before she unleashed her show-stopping performance. Asked what she wanted to do with the $1 million prize, she said she didn't care about the money and just wanted to sing.

Although just a little kid, Sophie didn't pick a little kid's song.

Before the judges and the audience knew what was happening, she was belting out the Frank Sinatra hit "New York, New York"--and doing an amazing job. Everyone in the auditorium that night recognized that she wasn't just singing well for her age, she was a professional whose voice could hold its own against any other singer.

The audience came to their feet in a standing ovation, and when she was finished, all of the judges complimented her performance. Even the notoriously curmudgeonly Simon Cowell was charmed and impressed. Sophie was through to the next round.

Check out the amazing video of her performance and we think you'll agree this isn't the last we'll hear of Sophie Fatu.
