Leonardo DiCaprio’s girlfriends are usually tight-lipped on their relationship with the playboy actor. However, his latest fling, Camila Morrone, just addressed the 22-year age gap between herself and the academy award winner. The model posted a photo that prompted a division in reactions from Instagram users.

Morrone who has been dating DiCaprio since December 2017 actually met the actor when she’s only 10 years old according to Cosmopolitan. Her stepfather, Al Pacino introduced the two. DiCaprio gets a bad wrap for never dating anybody over the age of 25, no matter how old he gets, his girlfriends stay around the same age. A user on Reddit even went as far as creating a graph to show how the actor has never (publicly) been an item with someone who is over the age of 25.

His current girlfriend, Morrone, meets the graph requirements as she is only 22-years-old. However, Morrone took to Instagram to clap back at critics of her relationship with the 44-year-old actor. Morrone posted a series of photos of famous Hollywood golden-age actors Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart who were an on-screen/off-screen couple and who consequently had a 25-year age gap. Morrone wrote alongside the photos, “A love like this.”

The photos drew prompted users to share their thoughts on the Morrone and DiCaprio’s relationship. One user commented, “Just look at the last 20 girls he has dated, same scenario over and over, he ages but his girlfriends stay the same age, not normal!” While another in opposition said, “So many haters... There is a 15 year age difference between my husband and I. Who gives a s**t. Just be happy and find someone who brings out the best in you.”

Morrone, however, did see the hateful comments as she posted on her Instagram story to tell the trolls to mind their own business according to USA Today. “Good morning people and happy Friday. I just read some of the comments on my Instagram and... my God, people are so mean and full of anger with people that they know nothing about. I guess I just hope on this Friday that people learn to live with a little less hatred and place their time and interests elsewhere because living without hatred feels pretty good."
