The judges and audience during the audition rounds for “America’s Got Talent” had a surprising and similar face come out to show off his talent. Michael Winslow is known for being an actor, comedian and beatboxer and has a natural talent for making sound effects. The star has appeared in many films and commercials over the years, but he had to take a break to help care for his children after his wife passed away. Never letting go of his passion, Winslow made the decision to return to the entertainment industry and auditioned for the competition series.

Best known for his role in the “Police Academy” films and “Spaceballs,” the talented man has also appeared in plenty of other films and television commercials where he has been able to show off his incredible craft as an voicestramentalist, a person who is able to make a variety of sounds using only their voice. His stunning work in the entertainment industry has led him to be dubbed the “Man with 10,000 Sounds.”

Standing on stage in front of the “America’s Got Talent” judges, Winslow was instantly recognized and applauded for his previous work. With the crowd already amped up and excited for his performance, Winslow geared up to show off his impressive skills. His audition made its way to social media platforms in July 2021 due to an early release from the competition series. Despite having a widely successful career, Winslow thought it would be a good idea to audition for “America’s Got Talent” and explained how he was used to making his own soundscape. “This is the show you come to be yourself,” Winslow said, repeating some advice his son had given him prior to auditioning for the show.

Once his audition began, Winslow immediately got to work, showing off a variety of skills and talents he possessed. He started off by diving into a comedy routine and telling a story that was full of loud and perfectly executed sound effects. Using his voice, he made an alert sound that most people would hear on an airplane during a dire event, and he jokingly advised the audience not to make the sound he was portraying if they were ever on a plane themselves.

Next, the “Police Academy” star dived into some musical capabilities. “To keep myself occupied, my mom and dad gave me my first radio,” he told the crowd and began imitating stereo sounds. It was as if a bass guitar was fixated in Winslow’s windpipe as he began playing the baseline of “Another One Bites the Dust” by Queen using his beatboxing skills. He pretended to turn the stereo before making one of his loudest and most prominent sound effects of his set, followed by a stellar mic drop.

Following his epic performance, the judges smiled and cheered loudly as they gave him a well-deserved standing ovation. CNN reported that he received a yes from all four judges and is set to move on to the next round of auditions.
