Law Student Accepts His Degree, Dressed As Spider-Man

Ceremonies that acknowledge the hard work and determination of university graduates are joyous events. But anyone that has attended a graduation ceremony will have to admit they can be a tad bit boring at times.

A recent law school graduate decided to add a little spice to his own graduation ceremony by showing up to the event dressed as Spiderman. And while some may think this is a strange way to celebrate a law school graduation, you have to admit it was interesting. The 22-year-old graduate, whose name is Yahir Salas Romero, attended law school in Juarez, Mexico, and graduated from Autonomous University.

The official dress code for the ceremony required suits and ties for male students. Romero, however, was able to sneak off during the proceedings and change into his Spiderman costume. Romero understands that his choice of graduation attire was not appreciated by all in attendance. This was demonstrated by the scattered boos that came from the crowd as Romero walked the stage to receive his diploma. The master of ceremonies was able to quiet the crowd by reminding them of the ceremony's gravity.

Romero said that no official of the ceremony admonished him for the costume. However, he did say the looks given to him were disapproving of his actions. Romero said that he does think the Rector gave a slight smile when seeing the spiderman costume. 'Spiderman' also carried a sign while walking to accept his diploma. The sign expressed love for his mother.

Romero smiled when explaining that his mother not only covered the expenses for his education but also sprang for the Spiderman costume. Romero says he has always drawn inspiration from Spiderman. He says that while Spiderman is a human being with flaws like us all, he always maintains a desire to help other people. Keeping in mind that it was a graduation ceremony, we can only wonder how many people were awake to see Superman cross the stage.
