There is a popular misconception that celebrities aren't normal. Many people assume that all of the fame, success, and attention end up causing people to become narcissistic or selfish. While there are some cruel celebrities, this doesn't mean that all of them are the same.

Every so often, there will be a breaking news story about a famous person who is doing something normal. It is almost comical to realize that some people don't think celebrities are normal humans. However, it is always refreshing to see somebody famous performing an act of kindness.

One lady was recently the recipient of such an act from one of her favorite celebrities. While it is amazing to meet somebody famous, it is even more meaningful when you are a personal fan of the celebrity.

Because New York City is full of famous people, locals never know when they will run into a celebrity on the streets. For example, a retired teacher kindly covered a fellow patron's tab only to realize that it was Keith Urban.

There is a clip of such an incident that happened recently in New York. The video has since gone viral for all of the best reasons. In the video, a woman can be seen standing in a subway car. A kind man wearing sunglasses and a bomber jacket offers his seat to the older woman.

A fellow New Yorker on the same subway quickly realized that the man was Ben Stiller.

An Instagram user took out his phone and began to record. The cameraman didn't realize that he was about to capture a true act of kindness. Although Ben Stiller was offering his seat to the woman, it was her reaction that has fueled the video's success.

"When @benstiller casually gives up his seat on the #NYC subway & then this," he captioned the post.

It would be a massive understatement to say that this woman was excited about the encounter with a celebrity. She was ecstatic and clearly a fan of Ben Stiller.

The woman instantly arose from her seat and began praising the comedian in Spanish. She told Ben Stiller that he makes her laugh so much.

In the video, the other subway riders are enjoying the woman's reaction more than having Ben Stiller in their same subway car. She starts pacing around in excitement and starts to remove the curlers from her hair. She wanted to look her best for the star.

Ben Stiller can be seen laughing at the woman's excitement.
