Lady Gaga’s long-awaited new single ‘Stupid Love’ was just released on February 28, and it encapsulates everything a person feels moving on and dating after a heartbreak.

The first single from her sixth studio album, you can check out the video below, that was all shot on a phone!

A new era of Gaga is upon us.

The single was dropped with an incredible music video which featured the singer and her dancers wearing color-blocking outfits as they dance in a desert. Sounds like any high-quality music video, right? Well, not really – this was shot completely on an iPhone 11 Pro.

As the name suggests, ‘Stupid Love’ is about being ready to find love again despite knowing how much breakups hurt.

According to Elle, Gaga has a very personal connection to the subject of this song. The singer was previously engaged to Christian Carino, before splitting up just before the Oscars in 2019.

She reportedly has had two relationships since the split, one with audio engineer Dan Horton, and current boyfriend Michael Polansky. Gaga made her relationship with Michael ‘official’ on instagram with a Valentine’s Day post dedicated to him.

The song explores the excitement of getting back in the dating game after suffering a heartbreak as captured in the lyrics,

"I don't need a reason (Oh) / Not sorry, I want your stupid love" and "You're the one that I've been waiting for / Gotta quit this crying, nobody's gonna / Heal me if I don't open the door."

Even celebrites experience heartbreak. Breakups suck, but it can also serve as an opportunity to grow. What do you think of Gaga's new single? Let us know in the comments. What do those in your social network make of it?
