Lady Gaga stopped the show at the 2019 Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City Monday night!

No one could take their eyes off the Grammy award-winning singer. She stepped into the public's eye with confidence and turned what is normally a simple walk down the red carpet into an experience no one will soon forget.

The A Star Is Born leading actress is a co-host this year at the Met Gala. When the theme, "Camp: Notes on Fashion," was announced, fans expected her to bring the drama - and she delivered.

She made her entrance in a bright pink, billowing ball gown by Brandon Maxwell. The dress was complete with a giant bow and a train that trailed behind her beautifully as she made her way across the red carpet. Long, golden lashes and a dramatic eye finished off the look.

Fans were impressed with the gown as it was, but it wouldn't be a Lady Gaga performance without a twist.

Men and women raced around her with umbrellas, eventually surrounding her to help her take off the ball gown, which was apparently only the outer layer, to reveal an asymmetrical black gown underneath with one bulging hip.

An assistant also removed the bow and handed her a brand new accessory: a black umbrella. She continued down the red carpet, only for an assistant to approach her yet again and reveal a THIRD layer to the iconic red-carpet look.

Beneath the black Brandon Maxwell gown was yet another fuschia dress. She accessorized with the campiest and most dramatic accessories she could find: oversized sunglasses and an old, brick-like cell phone.

But the performance wasn't over yet.

As the final piece in the puzzle of Gaga's red carpet experience, an assistant removed her fuschia dress and left Gaga in nothing but glittery stockings under a black bra and underwear, which she paired with a substantially tall pair of black heeled boots.

Fans were thrilled to see Gaga and Maxwell commit so whole-heartedly to the theme of the event and are applauding the duo for turning the red carpet walk into such an incredible performance.
