Labrador Takes Bus To And From Park Every Day To Play For Two Hours By Herself

Eclipse takes the bus a few times per week from her home in Seattle to exercise in a downtown park. Who is Eclipse? She’s a black labrador and mastiff mix who shares a home with her human companion, Jeff.

The bus drivers know where to drop Eclipse off and Jeff now simply attaches a bus ticket to her collar.

Earlier in their relationship, Jeff would bring Eclipse to the downtown dog park on the bus. One day, while Jeff was finishing a cigarette, Eclipse grew impatient and hopped on the bus. In a few stops, Eclipse got off of the bus at the dog park by herself!

Time after time, Eclipse returned home safely from the dog park. After several successful trips, Jeff realized Eclipse could make the trek on her own. He began tying a bus pass to her collar to cover her fare for the trips.

Jeff isn’t the only one amazed by this playful girl’s antics. The police and bus drivers on her route all know her. Several bus patrons look forward to seeing their favorite fellow passenger on their route and showing her a little love.

A Facebook post from this prodigious pet’s page states that “All of the bus drivers know her and she makes them smile, and many of the regular passengers enjoy seeing her every day and will often sit down next to her. Apparently, the people on the bus aren’t the only ones weighing in about this amazing animal.

The post goes on to say: “Even the police have given their approval as long as the bus drivers are okay with the arrangement.”

What do you think of this intelligent animal? Perhaps you have a similarly smart pet at home or know someone who does? If so, pass this on to them, or anyone who is dubious about how clever animals can really be.
