The name and face of blonde bombshell Nicollette Sheridan is one many recognize. The stunning British-born American actress is best known for her role as the beautiful and headstrong Paige Matherson on the CBS primetime soap opera “Knots Landing.” Her portrayal won her a devoted fanbase and critical acclaim.
The 61-year-old is also well known for starring in the hit ABC show, “Desperate Housewives” as Edie Britt, the character many loved to hate and hated to love. This role catapulted her to international stardom, earning her a Golden Globe nomination. Sheridan has also had roles on shows such as “Dynasty,” “Paper Dolls” and the Hallmark Lifetime Film, “Honeymoon For One.” Thanks to her unforgettable, beautiful looks, Sheridan was also listed on People’s “50 Most Beautiful People” in 1990.
Born in the United Kingdom to Sally Adams, a famous actress, Sheridan was raised by Adams and her lover, “Blofeld” actor Telly Savalas. They moved to the United States when she was just 10 years old, a transition that wasn’t easy for her. Sheridan is one of many celebrity children who practically grew up in Hollywood, so it isn’t surprising that she chose to become an actress.
However, since she first appeared on our screens, Sheridan has gone on to experience publicized legal battles and personal turmoil that have sometimes overshadowed her career. Some of these have contributed to the actress not being on TV and in films for extended periods of time. From drama behind the scenes to her personal issues, let’s find out what happened with Sheridan and where she is now.

One of Sheridan’s most notable and public professional problems was her controversial departure from “Desperate Housewives.” In 2009, her character was written off the show, leading to a bitter and highly-publicized legal battle with the show’s creator, Marc Cherry, and ABC studios. Sheridan claimed that Cherry had physically assaulted her on set by hitting her on the head. She said she was unfairly fired when she complained about this incident. This led to her suing for wrongful termination and battery.
However, the trial was inconclusive and ended in a mistrial. While she took on various guest roles on other shows, her acting career never quite surpassed the peak it had while she was on “Desperate Housewives.” Commenting on the scandal and how it affected her, Sheridan said:
“I was vilified for standing up for my rights, not only as a woman but as a human being.”
Her other well-known role was on the show “Dynasty.” While she quickly grew to be loved by fans of the show, Sheridan had to make an untimely exit to take care of her sick mother. This led to her character being killed off in 2019, with the actress explaining to TV Line:
“Working on the ‘Dynasty’ reboot and reprising the iconic role of Alexis has been thoroughly enjoyable, but the chance to spend precious time with my terminally ill mother is more important to me right now.”
Sheridan has also faced a string of high-profile relationships and breakups. Her marriage to Harry Hamlin in the early 1990s ended in divorce just a year later. Lisa Rinna, Hamlin’s second wife, then claimed that Hamlin and Sheridan’s marriage had ended because Sheridan had an affair with singer Michael Bolton. This led to a feud between the exes, with Sheridan vehemently defending herself on X, formerly Twitter, calling it “FAKE NEWS!”
Bolton and Sheridan did date after her divorce and got engaged before calling it quits two years later. She then went on to marry Aaron Phypers, but the two divorced just six months later.
Since then, she has launched her skincare brand, Biolumière Organics, and appeared on the 2023 Lifetime film, “Ladies of the ’80s: A Divas Christmas.” Fans have also continued to show her love, commenting on an Instagram video of her joyfully running down the street.
“MISS YOU ON TV! ❤️” one fan wrote, while another said she “Still look(s) amazing.😁” and a third called her “simply the greatest❣️🙏💃😊”
