A tiny kitten enjoys cuddles after surviving his first few weeks on the streets. It's a story that will make you smile.
The faint cries of a kitten drew the attention of Jamie Orozco one day in late June. This Los Angeles resident looks all around but couldn't find the little one. A few days after that, she heard it again. It was louder than before, so she knew it was near.
It took a while, but she finally found a little ball of kitten fur crouched on the steps of a nearby porch. This little guy didn't have a mom and nowhere to call home. Jamie scooped up the little one and went to get some help.

The six-week-old kitten needed some 24/7 care to get stronger. Ashley Kelley quickly responded. She's a volunteer with Wrenn Rescues. She was fostering four other kittens of the same age, so adding one more kitten to the mix was easy.
Being only half the size he should have been, the kitten needed some TLC. They gave this wee kitten a big name, Mustang Bartholomew. His personality grew to fit his big moniker.
He ended up being one of the sweetest kittens. And he loves to cuddle. Moments after meeting her, little Bartholomew's decided the best place for a nap was in the arms of his foster mom. A few days later, he got introduced to the other kittens in Ashley's care. Olivia, Ophelia, Opal, and Oliver were happy to have another sibling. Bartholomew started learning how to be a cat from his siblings.
One thing became apparent. If Bartholomew saw an empty lap, he would make himself at home to keep warm.
"He's the sweetest little guy I have ever met, and he is very cuddly," said Ashley to LoveMeow.
After weaning, the kittens were sent to the home of Jen Marder, another volunteer with Wrenn Rescues. Her job was to get them ready for forever homes.
Bartholomew walked up to this stranger and crawled in her lap. His siblings soon joined for a kitten cuddle.
This little kitten loves life. He's always the first to greet someone entering the foster room. He takes everything new on with intense vigor and loves to play with his siblings. Little Bartholomew is always in the middle of the action.
He and his siblings are ready to go to their forever homes. He will never have to worry about being hungry or without shelter.
