Kitten Can't Hold Back His Curiosity After Spotting A Baby Deer On His Porch

Watching baby animals always results in a fun time and high levels of adorableness. But when you have little fur babies from two different species interacting with one another, that's when things get really interesting. Witnessing two young animals discovering one another for the first time can become mesmerizing. When a mischievous kitten is added to the formula, that's when the ante really increases.

Not too long ago, a lucky individual with a camera managed to record some rare video footage on their property. The footage was of their new baby kitten meeting a baby deer for the first time. The reaction of the kitten is totally priceless; his name is Miro, and he's always been stereotypically curious as cats generally are.

One day Miro sauntered out onto the family’s patio and stumbled upon an unexpected visitor! A cute fawn was relaxing on the wooden deck area, in the shade near the stairs. He just had to come closer to check out and investigate this little speckled creature. Unable to look away, Miro keeps tapping the area around the fawn, dancing perilously close to jumping back again while the little deer stays down.

When cats love other animals, they just can’t help but give them a little bit of grooming. Miro couldn't help but fall into the same behavioral patterns; it was inevitable that he would begin cleaning the little fawn with his tongue. Alas, there was still no reaction from the little deer.

Undeterred, it seemed as though young Miro would be willing to do anything to get the fawn to notice him. However, the deer was merely a baby, and some who have more experience around wildlife and deer thought that it was only about two days old.

When Miro tired for a moment, the little kitten laid down and pretended to relax. Little did they know that the patience of a kitten is only so finite; Miro gave the fawn the "cold shoulder" for a minute to try to tempt it into play. Yet, the adorable deer continued to chill out on the patio.

The kitten couldn’t maintain the facade for long and began tapping the ears and nose of the fawn all the more enthusiastically. Some of the humans commenting in the shot thought that the kitten was too playful and that the deer wanted to rest, but the young fawn was more than happy to allow Miro to have fun.

In the wild, deer are the prey of big cats. Therefore, there were a couple of defense mechanisms occurring here. Viewers hypothesized that the baby deer was abandoned by its mother. However, the mother deer returned to the patio area shortly after the video recording ended. After the mother returned, the baby deer giddily returned to its mother's side. The kitten watched their little friend walk away with its tail slightly curled, knowing that it was for the best that mama came back to collect her baby.

It’s very uncommon for deer to appear in areas of human occupation and relax; mostly, deer will run around skittishly in fear of humans. What’s almost as marvelous as the little kitten discovering his new little friend is that the young fawn was willing to be around humans. In the video, many people are also lounging amongst the foliage on various benches and chairs. They admire the courageousness of the kitten and the relaxation of the deer.
