Every time Kate Middleton steps out for a royal engagement or to help those in need, she proves time and again that she is the epitome of grace and elegance and that she has a heart of gold.
The public has seen her mature into the woman she is today — from her early 20s as a student and the beginning of her romance with William to more recent occasions in which she's become one of the most prominent working royals. Known for being poised and classy at all times, she constantly showcases her beauty and grace with everything from her impeccable sense of style to her smart mannerisms and attitude. It's no surprise that she's become a true style icon of the modern age as well as a dearly loved member of the royal family. She is typically friendly, happy, and wonderful when she meets her fans out and about in public — even at official engagements. She has been known to even pose and take pictures with a few lucky admirers. Even today, fans eagerly await the day William will ascend to the throne and make Kate the Queen Consort.
Not more than a few months since the official royal titles were updated because of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Kate, now having become the Princess of Wales, has continued one of the biggest events she spearheaded way back when she was still the Duchess of Cambridge – the special Christmas Carol Service in Westminster Abbey.
Building a new, more modern monarchy and showing support to the Princess of Wales are King Charles III and Camilla, Queen Consort, who will now be spending their first Christmas without the presence of the late queen. Read on to find out more about the 2022 Christmas Service in the Abbey.

It was last year that Kate, who was then the Duchess of Cambridge, had thought of the idea of having a Christmas service.
In a special broadcast and Christmas message broadcasted days before Christmas last 2021, Kate explained the reasoning behind the Westminster Abbey inaugural event.
"We wanted to say a huge thank you to all those amazing people out there who have supported their communities. We also wanted to recognise those whose struggles perhaps have been less visible too," she elaborated.
"But I suppose through that separation, we've also realised how much we need each other and how acts of kindness and love can really bring us comfort and relief in times of distress."
The event was filled with heartwarming Christmas performances from well-known musicians like Leona Lewis, and Ellie Goulding, among others.
"Music was so important to me during the pandemic as I think it was to so many people too. But above all it's about celebrating the goodwill, the acts of kindness, love, empathy, and compassion to help people come through these difficult times," she also pointed out.
To the public's surprise, Kate unleashed her inner talents and sat down on the grand piano as she accompanied Tom Walker in a touching performance of "For Those Who Can't Be Here," a perfect song that encapsulates those who have been away with their families during the holidays.
Although they had hoped to have Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth last year, she wasn't able to grace the program due to her declining health. But, the queen was in spirit with them as she had donated Christmas Trees from Windsor Great Park to help decorate Westminster Abbey.

Organized by The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, specifically Kate, the 2022 Christmas service will be titled "Together At Christmas."
Taking place in Westminster Abbey, the special music event will be featuring the Westminster Abbey choir singing iconic Christmas carols as well as musical performances by Alexis Ffrench, Craig David, and "Les Miserables" alum Samantha Barks, and even a number from Mel C of Spice Girls and Alfie Boe.
William, Prince of Wales, will also be featured during the Christmas event, along with Dame Kristin Scott Thomas, Hugh Bonneville, and Kadeena Cox, as they will be delivering readings throughout the program.
The pre-Christmas broadcast will feature an introduction from The Princess of Wales, as well as short films highlighting individuals who have embodied the values of the late queen in sharing their support for their respective communities.
According to the official website of The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, the 2022 carol service will serve as a poignant tribute to Her Majesty, the late Queen Elizabeth II, and the values she had demonstrated throughout her life. These include her empathy, faith, duty, kindness, service, compassion, and support for others – values that are shared and personified by the guests invited to the special Christmas celebration.
Although the show will take place on Dec. 15, 2022, the entire show will be a part of "Royal Carols: Together At Christmas," an ITV1 special program narrated by "Chicago" superstar Catherine Zeta-Jones, broadcasted on Christmas Eve.
Not only would the entire Wales Family be present in the event, but King Charles, and Camilla, Queen Consort, will also finally be joining the second year of the Westminster Abbey Christmas service, along with other members of the British Royal Family.
