Eight-year-old Patrick King Jr. lives in Lancaster, California and faces extraordinary obstacles. Patrick was diagnosed as both autistic and mute as a toddler. Autism is a disease that makes it difficult for its victims to communicate their thoughts and ideas. Mutism exacerbates this problem by causing sufferers to be unable to speak.

Patrick's parents have developed a way to communicate with their son via sign language.

The system of communication has allowed Patrick's parents to understand what he likes and dislikes and provided a vehicle for his thoughts and feelings to be expressed.

They discovered through this communication system that Patrick loves both music and dancing.

Patrick's parents noticed his body goes into a trance-like state whenever music is playing. He becomes both mesmerized and happy from the first notes of a song. Once learning of the passion Patrick possessed for music, his parents decided to indulge this interest with surprising results.

The day was March 29, 2017. Patrick's father decided to introduce him to the music of Tori Kelly.

The eight-year-old went immediately into his trance when his father began to play 'Hallelujah.'

The video recording shows Patrick grinning broadly at his dad while the song plays. Patrick's father encouraged him to sing along. Patrick had never spoken a word before in his life.

However, he began trying to join in with the singing of the song. After a few tries, Patrick mouthed the word Hallelujah in unison with Tori Kelly. The turn of events brought tears to his father's eyes and has shocked members of Patrick's family.

You can now enjoy the moment with the family by watching the video footage of the moment.
