The beautiful song and its heartbreaking lyrics perfectly put into the perspective the sacrifice that so many Americans make for their nation's freedom.

Kid Rock posted a video of the song, imploring people to not wait for Memorial Day to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

"We don't have to wait for a holiday to thank our service men and women," he wrote on Facebook. "Take a moment to thank a veteran or service member today"

If you have not experienced this beautiful Kid Rock performance, now is your chance to catch the amazing tribute. After you have watched the video, be sure to spread the word to everyone in your social circle. Regardless of the day, we all need to remember this important message.
