The stranger thanked the couple for helping him or her find the courage to let the world know they are gay. When asked about it on Good Morning America, Sal Stow said the letter she found on her doorstep touched her incredibly:
"When I picked the note up, I almost burst into tears."
The couple lives in Round Rock. Sal decided to take a photo of the handwritten note and uploaded it to Facebook. The post has been shared more than 1000 times already. The style in which the pansexual and transgender flags were drawn on the note led Sal and her partner to believe it was left by a younger person.

The letter began with a hello and a brief acknowledgment that the author of the note was a stranger to the women. The letter went on to say the individual was moving from the area but first wanted to thank the couple:
"Seeing a Pride flag waving so proudly outside your house everyday has given me the courage to come out to my family and be more comfortable with who I am."
Sal's partner, Meghan Stabler, uploaded the photo to Twitter and it has already received more than a thousand retweets. It seems that more people than just Sal and Meghan were touched by the note that was left on the stairs.
