Every parent wants their child to have a full, happy life with enriching experiences and wonderful memories. Unfortunately, some lives are cut tragically short by terminal illnesses.

This was the case for Lana, who was only 2 years old when she was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

Her parents took numerous steps to share as many memories with Lana as possible while there was still time available to do so. In fact, both of her parents quit their jobs to spend Lana’s remaining months with her.

According to the Mirror, she spent months in and out of the hospital and endured multiple surgeries. While medical treatment was necessary and beneficial, this was not the only experience that they wanted their daughter to have as final memories.

Lana’s older sister, Neve, learned that her baby sister’s cancer was incurable only a few weeks before prom. While Neve was making her arrangements for this milestone event, she realized that her little sister would never have this experience.

Neve decided to take action and to ensure that Lana had a prom memory of her own.

Neve found Lana a gorgeous prom dress with pink sequins and floral embellishments. She wore a pink sweater over the dress and a cute bow finished her look. She arrived in style in a Rolls Royce and was all smiles throughout the event.

Lana was 3 years old when she went to prom, and she may have been the youngest partygoer on record.
