Kevin Bacon may have already achieved a lot of things in life, but he sure never forgets to look back on some of the things he feels most grateful for.
Kevin is an American actor that is best known for the musical film "Footloose." He has also starred in "JFK," "A Few Good Men" and "Apollo 13," among many other films. One of Kevin's strengths is excelling in many different genres. Some comedies he is remembered for include "National Lampoon's Animal House," "Tremors" and "Crazy Stupid Love." The star succeeded on television as well with his role in "The Following."
The actor has won a number of awards, including a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Kevin has also been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award and Academy Award. He received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2003.
On top of being a successful actor, Kevin is also a loving father and husband. He has been married to actress Kyra Sedgwick for over three decades. They have two children together; a son named Travis Bacon and a daughter named Sosie Bacon. The couple raised their children in New York City and faced some career sacrifices while they were growing up.
Sedgwick is best known for her leading role in the TV series "The Closer." The actress won both a Golden Globe Award and Primetime Emmy Award for her performance on the show. The series ended in 2012 but had an incredible seven-season run. Sedgwick is also remembered for her hilarious role in the comedy series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

Some of Sedgwick’s films include "Something to Talk About," "Born on the Fourth of July" and "Singles."
Sedgwick took a break from acting when her children were born but saw a resurgence of roles after they were older. She and Kevin seem to have a happy marriage and are both devoted to their family.
They are also blessed with their children, with their daughter Sosie having pursued a career in acting. She starred in the TV series “13 Reasons Why” and the film “Smile.”
Then there’s the equally talented Travis who is pursuing a music career and is part of the band called Contracult Collective.
“My insanely talented kid rocked the house yesterday and I was lucky enough to be there!” Sedgwick wrote in an Instagram post.
In March 2023, Kevin opened up about a time in his life when he almost lost his own child, Travis. Thankfully, a man – whom he has since referred to as a "superhero" – came to the rescue. Kevin revealed in a guest appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” that he was filming the 1990 sci-film “Tremors” when the horrifying experience took place. At the time, he and his wife Sedgwick were staying at a hotel.
Kevin, who admitted that his mind was “scattered” at that time, said he wasn’t really thinking when the incident happened.
“We were staying at a hotel. It was the Chateau Marmont here in L.A., which at that time was one of the few hotels that would allow us to bring the dog ... We had rented a car and I don’t know, I was scattered. I wasn’t really thinking,” he recalled.

Kevin revealed that he jumped out while the car was still running with Travis – who was then a days-old baby – still inside the car.
"Pulled up to the valet at the hotel, jumped out of the car, slammed the door, car still running, keys in the car, windows up, baby still in the car," he remarked.
At that point, Kevin knew he could have lost his son.
"And my little guy was, I think, 4 days old at the time. So to say I lost my s*** would be the understatement,” he said.
Thankfully, one of the hotel’s valets stepped in and quickly acted on the situation. What the man did was he made sure to wrap his hand with a towel and got his fist through the window.
"This amazing, heroic dude, it took him literally 3 seconds. He wrapped a towel around his fist. Bam! Right through that window,” he said.
As soon as he knocked out the window, he decided to open the car’s door so Kevin and his wife could get their son. And yes, it all happened within 5 seconds.
"Punched through it. Took it right out. I was like, 'Wow, that's some superhero stuff right there," he said.
Of course, Kevin made sure to thank the man’s heroism by visiting him years later. He also revealed that he gave the man a generous tip for what he did. Recalling the time he gave the man a visit, he said: "He said yeah, and, you know, we laughed about it and stuff ... I would like to think I tipped him well."
