The Lexington Police Department had some fun as they brought in the new year. They had no problem laughing at themselves while posing for photos as they mourned over a Krispy Kreme Doughnut truck that had caught fire. The Kentucky department was glad to share their photos with others through their Facebook page.

The story starts when the officers received a call regarding a vehicle fire. As they responded to the call, they had no idea what was awaiting them. A Krispy Kreme Doughnut truck was engulfed in flames. The vehicle caught on fire in between making deliveries. There were no injuries from the fire except for the toasted doughnuts. After the battle with the fire was over, officers took the opportunity to make some memories. They each took turns standing in front of the burnt up truck as they mourned their loss.

The Lexington Police Department took to Facebook and posted the photos with the caption reading "No words". This post has had a remarkable 72K shares, 3K comments, and over 16K likes and is still climbing.

One comment they received was from a Facebook user was telling them that they are sorry for their loss but they wouldn't try and sugarcoat what they were saying to them. They even went on to say that they guessed it was all down-hole from there. They hoped that the jam wasn't bad because the truck had been deep fried. They ended their comment with praying that the officers have batter days.

Another comment that was received by a user was telling them of a memory they had experienced. Their story starts with their ex who was a cop that patrolled in a small town. On one of the nights he was on duty, he saw a doughnut delivery truck that was clearly speeding. He had radioed in that he was going to stop the truck but when his Sargent heard he quickly responded to let them go!
