Kelly Ripa Tried To Set Up Actress Sharon Stone With Her Son, 26, Despite Four Decade Gap Between The Duo

Hollywood relationships are often capricious, so the ones that last are rare and pretty special. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been married since May 1996, and the two seem like they couldn’t be more in love. They have three beautiful children and have shared incredible moments over their many years together. Fans worldwide have gotten several peeks into their happy life on social media over the couple’s 26 years of marriage.

Ripa is known for her vivacious attitude as a talk show host, and she has also worked as an actress and television producer. Some of her most notable roles include being the co-host of the syndicated morning talk show “Live! with Kelly and Ryan,” as well as some past roles in sitcoms and soap operas, such as “All My Children.” It was in “All My Children” that she met Consuelos, as the latter was a regular on the ABC soap opera. He is also known for his supporting role as Hiram Lodge on the TV series “Riverdale.”

Together, the famous couple has been successful in their career avenues – and they seem just as successful as a married pair. Their family is absolutely beautiful, with sons Michael and Joaquin and daughter Lola.

In 2019, the family was recognized as one of the most beautiful families in the celebrity world and was interviewed for People’s Beautiful Issue. There, Consuelos and Ripa talked about the lessons they’ve taught their children. While Consuelos shared that they are less uptight about how they raise their children now, Ripa and Lola echoed the sentiment that they follow a “Less is more” approach to beauty.

Meanwhile, their elder son, Michael, received renewed attention after Ripa tried to set him up with actress Sharon Stone during their podcast interaction on Nov. 8, 2023. Keep reading for the details.

Sharon Stone is a renowned actress who is widely acclaimed as a sex symbol. She started her career as a fashion model after quitting college and moved to New York on the advice of a pageant judge. Widely considered with an IQ average of 154, Stone was academically brilliant and entered college on a creative writing scholarship at 15. 

However, Stone was interested in fashion and participated in pageant competitions. She won the Miss Crawford County, Pennsylvania title, where she was counseled to drop out of school and become a fashion model. Not long after that, acting piqued Stone’s interest, and she gave up being a model. 

Some of the actress’ notable roles include, “Casino,” “Basic Instinct,” Total Recall, “Sliver,” “The Specialist,” “The Quick and the Dead,” “The Mighty,” “The Muse,” “Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story by Martin Scorsese,” and “The Laundromat.”

Stone was born in 1958 in Pennsylvania. She grew up with her three siblings, and all four siblings have auto-immune disease. Her brother, Joseph, died in 2023. Stone, on her part, has endometriosis and an autoimmune disease that caused her to have nine miscarriages, while her sister has lupus. 

The “Basic Instinct” actress suffered a brain hemorrhage in 2001, which later led to a stroke. However, none of these challenges have been strong enough to prevent the star from getting up each time. The media personality has tried her hands at finding love many times and also adopted three sons with whom she now lives in her home in California. 

Stone has received numerous awards, including one Emmy Award, one Golden Globe Award, and two MTV Movie Awards. Although she is in her 60s, she is active and gorgeous.

It was, therefore, not very surprising when Ripa disclosed that her two sons have a crush on the actress. Stone was a guest on Ripa’s Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast, uploaded on YouTube on Nov. 8, 2023. 

Ripa revealed that her sons have very different personalities, but both agree that Stone is “hot.”

The mom of three added that her sons would poke fun at Stone’s on-screen love interests. 

“They’re like, ‘Yeah right, as if Robert De Niro would ever be able to get her,’” Ripa mimicked her boys. “‘Yeah right, like Joe Pesci would have a chance with Sharon Stone.’”

Ripa’s words led to Stone’s reflections on the dating patterns in Hollywood, where the actors were usually over two to three decades older than their love interests. 

“But if we (actresses) dated someone 10 years younger, we’d be cougars,” Stone noted.

Ripa then joked about match-making Stone and Michael despite the former being almost 40 years older than her son. 

“Sharon, I could set you up with my son right now. He’s 26. I would love for you to be my daughter-in-law. That would be the greatest honor of our family,” the TV personality quipped.

However, Stone turned down the offer, although she noted that she had previously dated men whose parents were her age. Nevertheless, she wasn’t going to date anyone under 45. At the end of their conversation, Ripa offered to marry Stone if something happened to Consuelos.

Meanwhile, Michael has one qualification that would have enhanced his opportunity with Stone. He was named in PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive issue in the Next Gen section in 2022, according to “People.” His Instagram also boasts of his handsome profile.
