Some cover songs are great, but others are not-so-special. When Kelly Clarkson took to the stage in the 'Kellyoke' segment of her talk show recently, she certainly did the 1978 hit justice.

"I'm Every Woman" is a funk/disco hit released by Chaka Khan in 1978. You have probably heard the 1992 Whitney Houston version, which is great, but make sure you check out Kelly Clarkson and witness her completely nailing it again, as reported here by Entertainment Tonight Canada.

We know that Clarkson is a great singer, but she is also an awesome mistress of ceremonies; she started off the song as a standard breezy tune, but when she hit the crescendo and starting hyping up the audience, the set of her show turned into a 1980s disco.

Clarkson is really killing it with her talk show, and her musical numbers are contributing to her success. She is becoming the queen of covers, and this is because she is first and foremost a music fan. We have known Clarkson since her "American Idol" days, and we know she is passionate about popular singers. If she likes a song, she is going to put her heart into it, and that is exactly what happened with "I'm Every Woman."

This clip of the Kelly Clarkson Show is just starting to go viral. Clarkson has found the sweet spot of figuring out what her fans really want: to hear her sing tunes that she really likes because that is when they are guaranteed to sound amazing.
