Kelly Clarkson was asked to host the Billboard Music Awards for her second year in a row. Last year's ceremony received praise from fans and critics alike. Even the stars in attendance talked about the amazing show. All of the hype surrounding last year's award show prompted executives to hire Kelly Clarkson for a second time.

In addition to being the best host, Clarkson offered an incredible performance of her new single "Broken and Beautiful".

The American Idol-winner has always had the ability to connect with her audience through meaningful lyrics, powerful vocals, and a strong stage presence. From sadness and tears to happiness and laughter, she can elicit any emotion from her fans by singing directly to their souls.

The 37-year-old singer even made one of her singing partners cry in front of the entire audience. Chrissy Metz is an actress best known for her role in the hit-show This Is Us. Many fans were surprised to realize that Metz could sing as well as she can act. Towards the end of their performance, Metz could be seen wiping away tears.

The most inspiring moment came as the main camera panned to Brandon Blackstock, Kelly Clarkson's husband. He could be seen standing on his seat with the strongest look of pride for his beloved wife.

Kelly Clarkson's all-new single is featured on the Ugly Dolls soundtrack. Kelly plays the voice of the movie's lead character by the name of Moxy. This is one of the first times that the singer has ventured into film. By offering the soundtrack for the film, Kelly is able to show her singing and acting abilities in one movie.
