Kelly Clarkson's new talk show knows just how to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

The host started a digital segment entitled "Ambush Thank You" during which she writes a heartfelt letter to one staff member, surprises them with it, and then reads the letter aloud to show her appreciation.

On Thanksgiving, the show's teleprompter operator Lisa Turner was chosen for her "monumentally pivotal" role. Clarkson praised Lisa for her ability to operate on the fly and make changes when unpredictable moments arise. The host claimed that she wouldn't want the job due to its complexity. Clarkson said that Lisa "excels at it.'

Serendipitously, Lisa's birthday fell on the same day which Clarkson decided to make the surprise reveal. Clarkson walked into the control room with cupcakes and her note in hand. Before she read the letter out loud, Clarkson started singing "Happy Birthday" and provided Lisa with the cupcakes.

Clarkson called Lisa a "greatest teleprompter goddess" and said that she wouldn't be able to do her show without her. The two talked about their first encounter and Clarkson revealed that she wanted to hire Lisa for everything. She talked about how difficult it is to run a teleprompter and that Lisa does it so well.

Another member of Clarkson's staff added that the staff had noticed and appreciated how Clarkson calls them by their first name, something that Clarkson was surprised to hear was rare in the industry. The staff admitted that usually the teleprompter is just referred to as the 'prompter' rather than by their name.

Clarkson and Turner ended their conversation on a sugar high after enjoying the delicious salted caramel cookies. The two exchanged compliments for a few more minutes before Clarkson exited the control room and returned to her seat.

After the host left, Lisa paid a few more compliments to Clarkson. She called her a "beautiful hearted person" and admitted she was overwhelmed by the surprise. Lisa thanked Kelly and told her that she loved her.

Lisa wasn't the first recipient of Clarkson's unique "Ambush Thank You" segment and will not likely be the last. During the first installment of the segment, Clarkson wrote a touching letter to Jason Halbert, the musical director. This is one of the many reasons that people tune in to watch Clarkson's new show.
