Now, as Katy prepares to give birth in mere weeks, the couple has reportedly chosen Jennifer Aniston to be their child's godmother. It seems Jen and the couple are ecstatic about the news and so are we!

Due to give birth in mere weeks, Katy has been proving that a large belly won't keep her from being a fashion icon, as she's been seen sporting stylish mumu dresses and even unveiled a pregnancy-themed outfit she would have worn to this year's Met Gala had it taken place.

Now, Katy and Orlando have reportedly chosen the godmother to their baby girl, and it's none other than Jennifer Aniston! As reported by the Mirror, a source close to the couple said that Jennifer has been a huge support to Katy and Orlando these last months. It's said that she topped their list of potential godparents and that when the couple asked her to be the godmother, they reportedly wept. 

The source explained that Katy and Jen have been going on walks together and spending lots of time catching up. She said that Jen was just as overwhelmed with happiness when she was asked, stating: "She is pretty chuffed about it as well and cried when they asked her." 

Katy and Jen have been friends for nearly 10 years. Not only has Jen been support for Katy and Orlando recently, but she's also an experienced godmother already! As godmother to her Friends co-star Courtney Cox's daughter Coco, Jen will be taking on the role with experience behind her, making her an even more sure choice.

While promoting her new album Smile, Katy spoke about being pregnant, saying that she's, "waddling like a duck," as reported by the Mirror. She further added, "I'm breathing heavily, I'm a full-on mouth breather."

Fans have been quick to talk about the exciting news that Jen will be the couple's godmother, with people on Twitter writing: "Could that little girl be more luckier !!!" while another said: "Imagine growing up with these icons and receiving gifts and hugs and kisses from them."
