Katie Price Declared Bankrupt By British High Court After Failing To Pay Back Spiraling Debts

Media personality Katie Price, 41, was declared bankrupt by the High Court of the United Kingdom after failing to pay back debts. 

Katie Price was declared bankrupt at a hearing today in London, where the former model is said to have not been present. 

According to the BBC, the 41-year-old was summoned by the court after she had failed to pay back a debt to her creditors. The former model is said to have arranged an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) repayment plan with her creditors last year in order to repay the debt but failed to keep up with the plan.

As a result of the bankruptcy, Price’s assets and financial affairs will be seized by Governmental officials.

At the height of her career, Katie Price is said to have been worth roughly £45million (about US$58 million).

Katie Price rose to fame in the 90s as a glamour model and later as a star on the British reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Outta Here. 

She is currently starring on a reality show based on her life called “My Crazy Life” on the British channel Quest Red.
