Kathie Lee Gifford is a woman of many talents and positive attributes, and she has become one of the most successful women in the television industry. Her exceptional talents spread across the board, from singing and songwriting to acting and even writing. Gifford is most known for her jobs as a television presenter on multiple morning shows, including “Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee” and “The Today Show.”

Gifford has had her fair share of success, love, and heartbreak, as she has been through quite a lot in her personal life over the long course of her incredible career. Despite all of the challenges she has faced, Gifford has kept a smile on her face and has continued to exceed people’s expectations in the entertainment industry. She lost her husband in 2015 but has been fortunate enough to find love once again. The memory of her late husband, Frank Gifford, continues to live on in their two children together, who have grown to be just like their famous parents.

The talk show host has two children, one son named Cody and one daughter named Cassidy, who are both absolutely gorgeous. Gifford’s daughter has grown into a bright young woman and is just as beautiful as her stunning mother.

Gifford’s beauty has not faded with time, and she remains just as breathtaking at age 68. The star opened up about getting older with her longtime co-star, Hoda Kotb. Grief-stricken after losing her husband, Gifford put her pain and heartache into her work and released the song “He Saw Jesus” in 2017. The song was written by Gifford and songwriter Brett James in dedication to Gifford’s late husband. All proceeds from the song’s sales went to Samaritan’s Purse, an international evangelical Christian humanitarian aid charity.

In April 2021, Gifford spoke with some of her former coworkers during an interview with TODAY and had some exciting news to share. “I’m in a really special relationship with somebody that is nice and fun and healthy, and so that’s good,” she revealed. She continued to tell anchors Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, and Carson Daly all about her new romance.

“It’s just happy, and I don’t want to mess it up, and I probably already have by just even mentioning it,” Gifford continued. “To be in a place where you feel like every aspect of your life is good, that nothing’s missing, and that’s a beautiful place to be. I’m just so grateful.”

Gifford reconnected with her longtime former co-host Kotb as well as with Jenna Bush Hager to spill even more inside details about her ongoing relationship. “I’ve just found somebody that is so much fun to be with,” she gushed. “He is challenging to me. He’s the smartest person I’ve ever met, but he’s so funny.”

The successful woman couldn’t stop bragging about her newfound happiness and a new chance at love. “And we have a great time together, and so at this point in my life that’s exactly what I need and exactly what I want, you know? Different seasons of life -- we weren’t meant to know each other before, it’s right now,” Gifford said. “We don’t know what the future holds at all, but we’re having fun today.”

In September 2017, Gifford and Kotb shared with Prevention their thoughts on getting older. Gifford said:

“All day long, life is about choice. Am I going to bemoan the fact that I’m 64 years old or say, ‘Thank you, Lord, I made it to 64?’ I’m healthy, I’m employed, my kids are awesome, life is good. I’m grateful. I think the most important reason to love your age is to be grateful for everything. If you grieve what you’ve lost in life at the expense of being grateful for what you have, you might as well take a dirt nap.”

Now that she is older, Gifford doesn’t rely on the opinions of others to maintain her self-esteem. “I have no time for other people’s opinions,” she said. “That’s the other joy of getting older—the number of people whose opinions matter has dwindled down at my age to maybe 10. These are the people who know me the best, love me the most. And you learn through the years who they are.”

The TV star also shared that she struggled with weight gain as she has gotten older. Gifford said, “During menopause, I struggled more with it. My doctor put me on one of those patches for estrogen. I had the least amount of estrogen they could give you, and it made me a crazy person. But in the scheme of things, how many women have been blessed to live long enough to go through menopause? Somehow they got through.”

Gifford added, “I always said, ‘On the day I die, I hope I learn something new.’ I think one of the most important things to do as we’re growing older, other than be grateful, is to keep learning, be a student of something you’re passionate about.”
