Kate Middleton’s Barefaced Photos Reveal Her Timeless Beauty — Her Secrets To Looking Youthful

Kate Middleton has been a very notable fixture in the British royal family ever since she married Prince William. Her composure, grace and sophistication have been well-praised by the public and even royal experts. She has been fairly compared with other members of the family, especially her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. 

Now that King Charles III has ascended the throne following Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, the public eye has magnified even further on Prince William and Kate, since the former is the first in line to the throne, which will make Kate Queen Consort one day.

Being one of the most famous members of the British royal family, Kate has been photographed numerous times, and surprisingly, it would seem like she doesn’t have a bad angle or any unflattering photos on the internet. 

In a 2022 article, Vogue enlisted the now-Princess of Wales to be the ultimate beauty muse, praising her for her girl-next-door look and polished glam aesthetic every time she walks on the red carpet. 

But like any other female celebrity and personality, Kate has posed for the camera fully made-up a large portion of the time. It is very rare that the public ever gets to see her as anything less than an incredibly glamorous royal.

But that doesn’t mean that Kate is any less beautiful and alluring without her makeup on. In many reports, it was her sophisticated and exquisite — and most of the time stripped down — beauty that captured the eyes of a young Prince William at St. Andrews University while they were still studying. 

Kate has undoubtedly become one of the most charming members of the royal family in recent memory. From her early days as the Duchess of Cambridge to her present stature as Princess of Wales, Kate has attracted millions of fans around the globe.

Her every move — including her duties as a wife and mother, as well as her sense of style in various royal engagements — simply captivates. In fact, she has evolved into what Vogue described as one of the royal family’s “greatest stars.” 

But Kate wasn’t as stylish before as she is today, or rather, she had to change her style to fit her new role as part of the royal family. In 2010, a year before she got married to Prince William, Kate had to make major changes to her overall appearance. Royal expert Tom Quinn said in the Channel 5 documentary "William & Kate: Too Good To Be True" that Kate’s personal style had to be “more appropriate" for a royal. 

"Her clothing almost began to reflect what people saw in her character — a kind of restraint, kind of modesty almost,” Quinn said. 

"I think that did come about because William and Kate were coming towards the point where they would announce their engagement. It was Kate starting to behave in ways which would be seen more appropriate for a future queen,” he added. 

Now, the public has continued to be enamored with Kate’s beauty, as photos of her have resurfaced that showcase how truly beautiful she looks when she is barefaced, without any makeup or added accessories.

Comparing Kate and William's photo during their graduation ceremony at St. Andrews University to what she looks like right now, one would be surprised to know that it was taken 17 years apart. Kate’s beauty has remained timeless and almost looks ageless, similar to her mother-in-law Princess Diana. 

According to The Sun, Kate’s efforts to look younger have been attributed to how she uses makeup and skin products to accentuate the best features of her face. The Beauty Rebellion founder Amy Bates said in a statement to the same publication that the princess’ brows had grown thicker compared to her thin and heavily plucked-out eyebrows when she was younger. 

Aside from this, physiotherapist Sammy Margo told the publication that Kate never slumps as she has perfect posture 

“Kate holds herself really well. If you look at photos from a decade ago compared to now, she is standing taller than before and holding herself much better. This gives her a very pleasant allure and makes her appear younger than 40,” she emphasized. 

Furthermore, being a mother of three doesn’t excuse Kate from getting her exercise. Daily Mail also reported that the princess does planks in order to maintain her athletic physique. She was said to have dropped down two dress sizes since her 2011 wedding with Prince William. 

Through the transformation that Kate has undergone to look more apt for a royal princess, her elegant and captivating beauty has still remained the same, and no amount of foundation and powder could conceal it. 

Her photos with makeup on might be the face that many have grown accustomed to throughout the years, but her barefaced and stripped-down look reveals and showcases her true and authentic beauty, which the public and Prince William had fallen in love with.
