The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince of Wales, accompanied the Queen at the Royal Ascot carriage procession, and the internet has fallen in love with Kate’s beautiful dress.

The Duchess looked as if she’d stepped straight out of a 1930s film as she peered out of the carriage. Her gorgeous, powder blue Elie Saab dress featured intricate details and a bit of a scandalous touch - it had a transparent outer layer, leaving parts of her shoulders exposed. Kate is a true lady, however, and there’s no question that she wore it with class and dignity.

She accessorized the dress with a matching retro hat designed by Philip Treacy and a gorgeous pair of silver and diamond earrings. Her intricate updo gave a delicate finish to the look.

And of course, fans have a lot to say about it!

What do you think? Does Kate’s look resemble something from the 1930s or 1940s? Let us know in the comments and pass this along to your friends and family so they don’t miss out!
