For many people celebrating birthdays during the coronavirus lockdown, it can be a lonely affair separated from friends and family. Prince Louis, William and Kate's youngest child, will be celebrating his second birthday on April 23rd, and his mom is determined to give him a party to remember, despite the current conditions.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently residing in Kensington Palace. Although they will be away from the rest of the royal family, they will be celebrating Prince Louis' second birthday at home together. We don't doubt little Louis must be really looking forward to his birthday, and his mom will not let him down, even if things are a bit more challenging at the moment.

Kate let everyone in on her birthday tradition during an interview regarding a show she was filming last Christmas called "A Berry Royal Christmas." According to 9Honey, the Duchess said:

"I love making the cake. It's become a bit of a tradition that I stay up 'til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing, and I make far too much. But I love it."

For Prince George's 6th birthday there was a theme. The entire house was decorated in a "soccer-themed" style, as Prince George loves soccer, according to Vanity Fair. We wonder if Kate will have a theme for Louis' birthday, most probably focusing on something he loves. Whatever it is, we are sure the cake will be a huge success!
