Kate Middleton Stuns In Black Dress And Glitter Heels For Date Night With Prince William

Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William recently spent an evening off duty. The couple dressed up for the occasion and looked at ease as they watched a performance of

Broadway musical "Dear Evan Hansen," at the Noël Coward Theatre in London.

Kate, 38, was wearing a black Eponine London dress and glittery Jimmy Choo shoes, and Prince William, 37, was wearing a smart blue suit, reports the Express. It isn’t often the couple get to have a date night.

William and Kate’s trip to the theatre was in aid of the Royal Foundation's efforts in raising awareness about mental health. The musical has received critical acclaim, and has won multiple Tony Awards since it debuted in 2015.

In addition to all of this, it has been praised for tackling mental health themes as it tells the story of a teen who has social anxiety. It was a fitting play for the royals to watch as mental health is a cause close to their hearts.

According to the Evening Standard, in a program note, William said:

“One of the issues that we care passionately about is mental health and we are pleased that Dear Evan Hansen is helping to start important conversations between parents and teenagers about this important subject.”

The royals later spoke to the author, Steven Levenson, and composers Justin Paul and Benj Pasek.
