Kate Middleton Sports The Ultimate Winter Cocktail Dress At Buckingham Palace Event

It’s not always easy to find the right balance of style and warmth, especially during an evening event that requires a bit of glitz. It’s no surprise that style icon Kate Middleton is able to balance the fine line and look absolutely gorgeous in the perfect dress choice.

She recently stepped out in a Needle and Thread brand cocktail dress embellished in beads and sequins for the UK-Africa Investment Summit on Monday evening at Buckingham Palace according to ET. She arrived with her husband Prince William, dressed in a deep blue suit.

The dress is from the British brand, Needle and Thread, who create feminine ready-to-wear and also have a bridal studio. The dress is the cherry red Aurora gown and has already sold out on their website. According to the description, it is “inspired by vintage lace tablecloth.” The duchess paired the gown with matching red pumps and an architectural clutch.

Prince William spoke at the summit and mentioned the special place Africa holds in his and Kate’s hearts.

“It is the place my father took my brother and me shortly after our mother died. And when deciding where best to propose to Catherine,” he said according to People. “I could think of no more fitting place than Kenya to get down on one knee.”
