Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William ended the first day of their whirlwind tour of Ireland at a reception on Tuesday night. Kate dazzled in a green dress that was perfect for the occasion.

The royal couple's 3-day tour of Ireland sees them making stops in major cities and rural areas, meeting folks from different sectors who are working towards empowering young people and conserving the environment, as per an official press release.

They met an array of people at a reception at the Guinness Storehouse’s Gravity Bar where Kate stepped out in a gorgeous green dress.

The deep shade of emerald green was a perfect match for a visit to the Emerald Isle, only made better by its metallic sheen. The duchess paired the dress with simple accessories of dangling earrings and a golden clutch, as well as a pair of velvet heels.

The duchess has been keeping to the same color palette along the tour in homage to the country's national color, wearing a green coat on her visit with the President of Ireland over a midi-length green dress. The couple conclude their tour on March 5th, before when we are sure to see other spectacular green ensembles worn by the duchess.
